BELLEVILLE, Ill. – The Vincennes University baseball team picked up another big win over an NJCAA Division I program Wednesday morning when the Blazers split their mid-week doubleheader at Southwestern Illinois College. Vincennes opened the doubleheader by taking game one by the final score of 2-0 before dropping game two to the Blue Storm 11-0. The Trailblazers opened the doubleheader with a hard fought pitcher’s duel in game one, with neither team able to break onto the scoreboard in the first four innings of the game.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team returned to Jerry Blemker Field Friday afternoon for the opening two games of their weekend Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC) series against No. 14-ranked Parkland College. The Trailblazers opened the weekend slate with a big 11-3 victory over the Cobras, before dropping game two of the day 10-5. Vincennes opened the weekend strong in game one, opening the game with a big five run first inning.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team opened another Mid-West Athletic Conference series weekend Friday afternoon at Jerry Blemker Field. The Blazers played host to Lewis & Clark Community College from Godfrey, Ill. in the annual ‘Battle of the Trailblazers’. Vincennes was able to battle back and split the first two games of this four-game weekend series, falling in game one 10-2 before bouncing back and taking game two of the day 13-3.

QUINCY, Ill. – The Vincennes University baseball team hit the road this weekend for their first Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC) series of the season at John Wood Community College in Quincy, Ill. The Trailblazers got off to a hot start in game one but dropped both games on the day by the final score of 6-5 and 13-0 in game two. VU opened the day in game one of the day, getting on the board in the third inning after lead off singles by sophomores Bryce Gross (Bridgeport, Ill.) and Bradyn Douglas (Frankton, Ind.).

The Blazers faced some tough competition Friday in front of the home fans and were able to extend their winning streak to five games after defeating North Iowa Area Community College 11-8 and picking up a big win over No. 15 Kellogg Community College 1-0. Vincennes opened the weekend slate against North Iowa Area Community College and wasted little time getting the offense going in game one of the day.

VINCENNES, Ind. – After a lengthy break with multiple game cancellations due to weather, the Vincennes University Baseball team returned to the field Friday afternoon for their home opener at Jerry Blemker Field against NJCAA Division III No. 15-ranked Joliet Junior College. The Trailblazers got off to a slow start and had trouble getting the bats going after not playing a game for over two weeks as the Wolves came away with the 6-0 victory over the host Blazers. Joliet was the first to crack the scoreboard Monday afternoon, plating a pair of runs in the second and two more in the third to take an early 4-0 lead over VU.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Vincennes University baseball team returned to the diamond Saturday afternoon for games two and three of their four-game weekend series at Cleveland State Community College in Tennessee. The Trailblazers got the doubleheader started off great with a 5-3 victory in game one behind a seven-inning complete game by sophomore pitcher Carson Allen (Louisville, Ky.) before falling in game two of the day 3-2 to the host Cougars. Game one of the day did not get off to the best of starts for the Trailblazers as Cleveland State got on the scoreboard early with two runs in the first.
