VINCENNES, Ind. – The 2025 Vincennes University Baseball season is right around the corner as the Trailblazers announce their 2025 Spring schedule.
The Trailblazers will once again open the season on the road, taking on Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tenn. for a four-game series beginning Friday, Feb. 7.
VU will open the home portion of their schedule the following weekend as Vincennes hosts Schoolcraft College Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. eastern at Jerry Blemker Field.
This will be the opening game of three big weekends of games at Jerry Blemker Field early in the season, with VU hosting Schoolcraft College, South Suburban College and Frontier Community College Feb. 14 through Feb. 16.
VU will then host Joliet Junior College, Parkland College and Morton College Feb. 21 through Feb. 23 and close out the early season weekend tournaments Feb. 28 through March 2 when VU hosts Lincoln Trail College, Kellogg Community College and North Iowa Area Community College.
Vincennes will begin Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC) play Saturday, March 8 with VU heading to Quincy, Ill. to take on John Wood Community College.
MWAC Conference weekends are scheduled as four-game series consisting of two doubleheaders with game one of the series being a nine inning game, games two and three scheduled as seven inning games and game four of the series being a nine inning game.
The Trailblazers will get their first home MWAC series March 14 and 15 when VU hosts Lewis & Clark Community College at Jerry Blemker Field.
Vincennes will host conference series this season against Lewis & Clark Community College, Heartland Community College and Spoon River Community College.
The Trailblazers will be on the road for conference series this season against John Wood Community College in Quincy, Ill., Illinois Central Community College in Peoria, Ill. and Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Ill.
The MWAC Conference series against Parkland College and Danville Area Community College will be split between the two schools, with VU hosting games three and four of those series at Jerry Blemker Field.
The Trailblazers will look to begin a long postseason run after their 56-game regular season May 6-9 at the Region 24 Tournament, followed by the NJCAA District Tournament May 15 through 18, hosted in Missouri, with the season concluding May 24 through 31 at the NJCAA Division II World Series hosted in Enid, Okla.
