Allen’s complete game gives Trailblazers doubleheader split at Cleveland State C.C.
February 08, 2025CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Vincennes University baseball team returned to the diamond Saturday afternoon for games two and three of their four-game weekend series at Cleveland State Community College in Tennessee. The Trailblazers got the doubleheader started off great with a 5-3 victory in game one behind a seven-inning complete game by sophomore pitcher Carson Allen (Louisville, Ky.) before falling in game two of the day 3-2 to the host Cougars. Game one of the day did not get off to the best of starts for the Trailblazers as Cleveland State got on the scoreboard early with two runs in the first. -

February 07, 2025CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Vincennes University baseball team opened their 2025 Spring season Friday afternoon with a single nine-inning game at Cleveland State Community College in Tennessee. The Trailblazers got off to a rocky start but were able to battle back and take the lead late unfortunately this lead would not hold as VU fell in their season opener to the Cougars 7-6. The season did not get off to the best of starts for the Trailblazers, after a scoreless top of the first, the host Cougars opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with four runs to take an early 4-0 lead. -
Vincennes University announces 2025 Spring Baseball schedule
January 24, 2025VINCENNES, Ind. – The 2025 Vincennes University Baseball season is right around the corner as the Trailblazers announce their 2025 Spring schedule. The Trailblazers will once again open the season on the road, taking on Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, Tenn. for a four-game series beginning Friday, Feb. 7. VU will open the home portion of their schedule the following weekend as Vincennes hosts Schoolcraft College Friday, Feb. 14 at 6 p.m. eastern at Jerry Blemker Field. -
VU welcomes new Director of Athletics John Meeks
August 21, 2024VINCENNES, Ind. - John Meeks, an experienced athletics administrator with an academic ethos, is the new Vincennes University Director of Athletics. VU President Dr. Chuck Johnson proudly announced the appointment of Meeks on Wednesday, August 21, during a VU Board of Trustees meeting. Meeks is a former college basketball coach currently serving as the Director of Athletics at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, Washington. He will begin his role leading VU Athletics on Monday, Sept. 9. -
VU Golf and Volleyball honored as 31 Blazers earn NJCAA All-Academic honors
July 18, 2024CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The 2023-24 National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Academic awards were announced Thursday, with Vincennes University well represented. First came the announcement of the 2023-24 Academic Teams of the Year, with teams needing to hold a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better to be honored. Nearly 1,200 teams were named across the NJCAA members colleges and sports, with Vincennes University being named twice.
