OLNEY, Ill. – The Vincennes University baseball team hit the road Wednesday afternoon for a mid-week showdown with NJCAA Division I Olney Central College. The Trailblazers fell behind early but battled back and overcame an early five run deficit to pick up the 16-11 victory over the Blue Knights. Vincennes got the scoring going early with VU leadoff hitter sophomore Bradyn Douglas (Frankton, Ind.) starting the game with a single.

QUINCY, Ill. – The Vincennes University baseball team returned to the diamond Monday afternoon for the final two games of their four-game Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC) opener against John Wood Community College in Quincy, Ill. The Trailblazers battled but came up on the wrong end of a 6-4 final score in game one before dropping game two on the day 15-3. The day did not get off to the best of starts for the Trailblazers, with John Wood breaking the game open early with five runs in the first inning.

OAKLAND CITY, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team hit the road Thursday evening for another weekday tune up before the start of Mid-West Athletic Conference play this weekend, heading to Oakland City University to take on OCU JV. The Trailblazers battled hard, getting some valuable game experience for the younger players on the roster but unfortunately came up on the wrong end of a 18-7 final score to the Mighty Oaks. Vincennes got off to a great start Thursday afternoon, opening the game in the first with a single by sophomore Corbin Napier (Indianapolis, Ind.) and back-to-back walks by sophomore Nate Montgomery (Lexington, Ind.) and freshman Jakob Hoyer (Georgetown, Ind.) to load the bases.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Baseball team returned to Jerry Blemker Field Monday evening for a weekday showdown with Wabash Valley College from Mt. Carmel, Ill. The Trailblazers used this opportunity to get multiple players useful game experience as the Trailblazers get set to head into Mid-West Athletic Conference play this weekend. VU fell behind early, was able to build some momentum through the middle innings but unfortunately came out on the wrong end of a 25-7 final score to the Warriors.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Baseball team closed out their busy weekend Saturday afternoon at Jerry Blemker Field with a seven inning showdown with North Iowa Area Community College. The Trailblazers battled back from a slow start as the Blazers extended their winning streak to six games with a 6-4 victory over the Trojans. NIACC got the scoring started early, plating four runs in the first inning.

The Blazers faced some tough competition Friday in front of the home fans and were able to extend their winning streak to five games after defeating North Iowa Area Community College 11-8 and picking up a big win over No. 15 Kellogg Community College 1-0. Vincennes opened the weekend slate against North Iowa Area Community College and wasted little time getting the offense going in game one of the day.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Baseball team returned to Jerry Blemker Field Tuesday morning looking to bounce back from their home opener Monday afternoon with doubleheader action against Morton College and a rematch against NJCAA Division III No. 15 Joliet Junior College. The Blazers were able to open up fast starts in both games and ride the early momentum to a 5-2 victory over Morton College and an 8-4 victory over Joliet to complete the doubleheader sweep. Vincennes opened the day Tuesday morning with a showdown against Morton College.

CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Vincennes University baseball team closed out their four-game weekend series Sunday afternoon with Cleveland State Community College. The Trailblazers were able to jump on the Cougar pitchers early Sunday afternoon and ride this hot start to a big 14-6 victory over Cleveland State C.C. The VU offense wasted little time getting going Sunday afternoon with the first six Trailblazer batters reaching base safely.
