Men's Golf
URBANA, Ill. and FARMINGTON, Mo. – The Vincennes University Golf team was very active earlier this week as the Trailblazers traveled to Urbana, Ill. for the 2024 Mid-West Athletic Conference Fall Preview Monday, before heading to Farmington, Mo. to take part in the 2024 Mineral Area College Fall Invitational Wednesday.
The Blazers opened the week at Atkins Golf Club in Illinois for the 2024 MWAC Fall Preview, getting a first look at the course that will host the Conference tournament in the Spring.
VU was led by freshman Kadin Gibson (Franklin, Ind.) who closed out the 36-hole, one day tournament with a 74 in round one and a 76 in round two to finish in a tie for 11th place overall.

Women's Volleyball
CARTERVILLE, Ill. – The Vincennes University volleyball team picked up their 20th win of the season Tuesday night as the Blazers headed to John A. Logan College in Carterville, Ill. for a Region 24 showdown with the Volunteers.
Vincennes was able to come out on top in this match between the two teams currently at the top of the Region 24 standings, taking the match in four sets 25-22, 17-25, 25-21, 25-17.
The match was very close from the very beginning as the two teams traded early runs in the opening set before the Blazers were able to rally from behind with a 9-1 scoring run to take an 18-14 lead.

Men's Bowling
WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The Vincennes University Bowling season rolled on over the weekend as the Trailblazers headed up to Wisconsin for the 2024 Midwest Collegiate Championships Saturday and Sunday.
Vincennes came away with a 34th place finish in a loaded field after five traditional games Saturday and 16 baker games on Sunday.
The Trailblazers were led in the traditional games by sophomore Dakota Waskom (Louisville, Ky.) who finished with a total of 1,082 pins, including a team-leading game of 262 to begin the weekend and would place 26th overall.

Men's Cross Country
Terre Haute, Ind. and Louisville, Ky. – The Vincennes University men’s and women’s Cross Country teams pulled double duty this weekend as members of the VU men’s team took part in the Nike XC Town Twilight at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute Friday night, while the rest of the men’s and women’s teams headed to Louisville for the 2024 Live in Lou Classic Saturday.
The weekend started with members of the men’s team taking the short trip to Terre Haute for a unique cross country race, racing under the lights at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
Vincennes was paced on the day by freshman Stephen Hershberger (Fowler, Ind.) who finished with a time of 29:04.25 to place 148th overall.
