Coach James Kingsley comes to Vincennes after spending the 2022-2023 season at Texas A&M-Texarkana (NAIA). The Eagles finished the season 22-9, 14-6 in conference, and an appearance in the NAIA national tournament. Two players, Kobe Powell and Tray Spencer, were named to the Red River Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team. Connor Ouellette was named to the Second Team. Kobe Powell was an NAIA All-American Third Team selection, while Tray Spencer was an honorable-mention All-American.
Kingsley spent 2019-2022 at South Spencer High School where he served as freshman coach, varsity assistant, and lastly, JV Coach. During his time at South Spencer, the Rebels went 58-14, with a 2A sectional title in 2019-2020, and a Pocket Athletic Conference Championship in the 2021-2022 season.
Kingsley graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Southern Indiana. In 2022 graduated with his master’s degree in Sport Management, also from the University of Southern Indiana. Kingsley holds his certification in personal training from the American Council on Exercise. James and his wife Lauren have been married for 5 years and have a golden retriever named Duff.
