Brian Davis will be entering his 20th season as a Trailblazer assistant in 2024-2025.  A portion of Coach Davis’ responsibilities are recruiting, academics, individual workouts, jamboree director, summer camp director and team travel, among other duties.

Since Coach Davis has been a member of the staff, the Blazers have averaged 27 wins per season, had an overall record of 512-121, won the 2019 National Championship, been ranked #1 in the country, advanced to the NJCAA national tournament 13 times with four Final 4 trips, tied the school record home court winning streak of 52 games, and sent many players on to the Division 1 level. Coach Davis has recruited and coached 20 All-American players that have went on to play in the Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 12, & SEC among many other major D1 conferences. Davis also helped recruit & coach Mychal Mulder who has recently played with the Miami Heat & Craig Porter Jr. who has joined the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In 2020, Coach Davis was selected as one of the 50 most impactful coaches in all of Junior College basketball according to Silver Waves Media.  Also in 2020, Coach Davis was honored as the top assistant coach in the NJCAA according to Basketball Scoop.

Davis previously held coaching positions at Lawrenceville and Robinson High Schools in Illinois, and at Paul Laurence Dunbar HS in Lexington, KY.  Coach Davis was an assistant coach for the 2002 Robinson team that recorded a 29-3 overall record and made an appearance in the Elite 8. 

As a player, Davis was a member of the All-North Egypt Conference basketball team in 1995 at tradition rich Lawrenceville, IL HS, winning two regional and conference championships during his career there. He then went on to graduate from both Vincennes University and the University of Kentucky with a degree in Health Promotion.

Davis has worked a number of prestigious basketball camps throughout the country, including camps at Indiana University, University of Kentucky, and the Ron Felling Shooting Camps prior to joining the Vincennes staff.

Coach Davis resides in Vincennes with his wife Megan, and kids Presley, Bennett and Grady
