VU Athletics To Host Annual Blaze To A Community Cure

Vincennes University Athletics proudly announces their annual fundraiser, Blaze to a Community Cancer Cure, to support cancer research and assist local individuals and families in the Vincennes community who are affected by the disease. Fostering a sense of unity within the Vincennes University community as well as the broader local community, this annual event brings together student-athletes, VU staff, and Vincennes community members to raise awareness and funds for cancer-related challenges in our part of the world.

Culminating the fundraiser, on March 1st, 2025, Vincennes University Men's and Women's Basketball teams will host Wabash Valley College in a key NJCAA Region 24 matchup. Gametimes are 5pm and 7pm respectively. Funds raised through ticket sales, donations, and special merchandise sales leading up to, as well as the day of the event, will be directed toward assisting families in the Vincennes community who are facing cancer-related difficulties. A portion of the funds will also go toward cancer research, treatment, and local support services.

The annual Blaze to a Community Cancer Cure offers a way for the Vincennes community to come together to fight one of the world's most devastating diseases. As awareness grows and participation expands, this fundraiser will continue to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals in our community, helping to bring hope, healing, and ultimately a cure for cancer.
